But since it's ALREADY involved with the freaky reincarnation, and if all the 3000-era people are supposed to be the reincarnation of the original Knights, wouldn't that imply that Carter and Shiera were Tristan and Isolde originally?

Because shit, he's taken the guy out to dinner at a nice restaurant. Twice, IIRC.
And Ray does spend *a lot* of time perched up on Carter's shoulders.

...oddly, that's one slashy possiblity I'm not so much into, because I have my own plans for Ray and they must remain Pure.
OTOH, Smitty and I got a lot of mileage out of Sand staring at Carter's giant nipples over in JSA....
